Discover the joy of playing the ukulele in our Beginning Ukulele Class, designed for kids (ages 7-12), teens, and adults of all skill levels. Whether you're picking up an instrument for the first time or looking for a fun and easy way to start making music, this class will guide you through the fundamentals in a supportive and engaging environment. Ukulele is one of the easiest instruments to learn! It's a great introduction for young kids with small fingers that want to eventually move to the guitar.

Heather Korn – Academy Director
Heather Korn is the Director of Music Works Academy, where she leads the development of engaging group classes and music programs. With a strong background in both voice and piano, Heather has dedicated her career to fostering a love for music in students of all ages. She holds a Bachelor of Music in Voice from Coe College and a Master of Music in Voice from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, with additional training at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music.
Heather has earned recognition for her commitment to music education, including the Outstanding Teacher of the Arts Award and the Crawford Music Prize. Her teaching philosophy emphasizes collaboration and community, offering students the opportunity to grow not only as individuals but also as part of a vibrant, creative group. Heather's experience extends to leading ensemble and group classes, where students explore music in a social, supportive environment.
